HOT SHOTS WORLD SHOWCASE

Cycle Shop Image Revamp give Studio 1 Signs Creative Flexibility

This customer really had no idea what they wanted or needed so they left it up to us (SMILE).
After removing an old 4'X4' electric double faced beer sign (about twenty years old and showing it). The customer wanted to modernize his shop and thought the best way was to update his signage. After finding out his budget and some preliminary sketches, this is what he ended up with.
The sign is 4' X 8' oval and utilizes three different lighting sources. The bens letters are hand formed channel letters with double stroke white neon with the letter sides being painted with a silver pearl rainbow metal flake which changes colors as you walk by then finally clearcoated with automotive finishes.
The cycles letters are cast GEMINI letters with actown bi-mod red l.e.ds for the reverse halo glow effect mounted inside.
Finally, the bicycle sprockets on top and bottom are formed from 080. aluminum also painted a silver pearl.
Between the sprocket blades are 1/2" pieces of L.I.S.A ( edge lit orange plexiglass ) so when the daytime light hits them they appear to be lit.
This project turned out beautiful and was fun to do. It's nice when a customer trusts you enough to just let you give him what you know they need. They are few and far between but when you get them.............watch out.
