Converting Text to a Curve HELP PLEASE

Hi Everyone, I'm so glad I found this site! I've read your forum last evening and everyone shares great information so I am hoping someone may be able to help me here. My father and I took up vinyl lettering as a hobby to create signs for family and friends. Neither of us have formal training and it is as challenging as it is as fun at times. Currently, I am needing to convert text to a curve. I have NO CLUE. We are using the CiberCut 5.5 Pro SE Edition software with our Bobcat BI 60/30. I have the manual and follow it word for word and nothing seems to work. The text will be approximately 24 inches long. There must be a step missing in the manual. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I will keep reading your forums and learn as I go!

Try right clicking on the text and then convert to lines or curves. I know that works in Illustrator and Corel.

Try right clicking and choose convert to curves or create outlines - it works in Illustrator and Corel so might work there too.
