Hi All,

I recently got a roland vinyl cutter for occasional personal use and was hoping to get some ideas on recommended software to use for just basic stuff that is fairly easy to navigate through.

Any ideas much appreciated

IF you got your plotter new then you probably got some cutting software with it. Most distributors bundle cutting software plugins for CorelDraw and Illustrator even for the low end plotters so check your boxes. If you purchased this plotter used then you are probably going to to have to purchase something outright. There are several low end programs out there for a few hundred bucks. You might also want to look into after market cutting plugins if you already have Corel and/or Illustrator. Another source would be [] who offers a free 30 day trial for their Corel Plugin software.

If you are interested in some free info and useful resources head over to and take a look around.

you can also use roland cut studio and Inkscape, inkscape is a freeware vector design program.
