Ideas to drum up some business
Posted by: lizbit (

I work out of my home and do alot of truck lettering and when I get slow (like now) I have to hit the streets and drum up new business. Most of the time I go to strips of car dealerships with some free samples and get some work that way - just getting bored with it - wondering if anyone out there had other ideas of how to get more work ?????

Your marketing issue is exactly why I began I would be happy to offer some help, pro-bono. I've commission sold since 1971, and owned 2 major players in the industry. Write me personally if you'd like some specific guidance on drumming up biz, as you put it !

Make it a goal to shake hands with 5 BUSINESS OWNERS (not managers or employers) every day. Don't take more than 5 minutes of their time on the spot... ask for an appointment to return and share some 'ideas' with them about their signage that could bring them a significant amount of new business...

This alone will not solve all of your problems but if you make it a habit you will have alot more business...
