Patrial Vehicle Wraps: How long till risking damage to the paint
Posted by: pseudotim (---.dsl.sntc01.pacbell.net)

I am looking at doing a partial wrap on a vehicle - one that does not cover the entire surface of the car. My client wants to know how long they can leave it on, before they start risking a noticable paint fade on the exposed surface. Obviously, this is affected by sun exposure, quality of paint etc... but thoughts on what the maximum and minimum time span would be?

Any suggestions?

thanks - tim

tim,
to answer your question. the day you put the wrap on the car, is the day that paint will be protected under the vinyl and the exposed area will begin to fade depending on climate and what not. always sell your customers a full wrap if they are worried about fade!! don't put yourself in a liability position.
