HELP: Multiple Colors, Layering, Registration Marks?

Greetings everyone, I am graphic designer just getting started in Vinyl Stickers and have the Roland Stika STX-8. I want to ask if there are any good tutorial sites that go over how to work with multiple color stickers (or layered stickers). My main concern is applying the stickers exactly on top of one another and I dont understand if we can have registration marks, etc. I have been using Adobe Illustrator for about 8 years now, so I know my way around it, if anyone can explain the layering process.

Thanks in advance and I am glad I came across this site!!

I'm no expert... but for multiple colors I've just place a few simple object (usually squares) that are duplicated for each layer. When I lay down each color, i match up the squares on top of each other. When I'm all done, I just peel up the squares and I'm done.
