Roland Expands 2002 Inkjet Workshops To Include House Calls
Irvine, CA. January 8, 2002 Roland DGA Corporation today announced that, in addition to its regularly scheduled Inkjet Workshops, Roland University is now offering Onsite Tech Training.
For the first time, customers anywhere in the US and Canada can take advantage of Roland inkjet training right in their own print shop. In two-day workshops, they get hands-on lessons on how to optimize their printing workflow and tune up their machines. Training is available for new employees, as well as intermediate and advanced print makers. For the third year in a row, Roland University has scheduled Inkjet Workshops at its headquarters in Irvine, CA. "We offer a state-of-the-art learning environment with today's hottest technologies and digital color reproduction techniques," said Bryan Ballreich, Roland Training and Production Manager. "By sharing tips and techniques and listening to industry experts, our customers learn exactly how to get the most out of their machines and businesses."
Roland University has scheduled its first inkjet workshops March 21-22 and June 13-14 with others to follow.
The inkjet workshop is designed for users who want in-depth training on their inkjet machines, including the Hi-Fi JET, Hi-Fi JET PRO, SOLJET and CAMMJET. Students learn tips and tricks for using Roland ColorChoice(tm) RIP software, increasing productivity and prolonging printer performance. Classes cover a wide variety of profitable business opportunities including print-for-pay, POP, print-and-cut, photography and fine art. Roland product managers teach maintenance, media and fine-tuning tips.
State-Of-The-Art Tools & Techniques
Experts in a wide array of disciplines - from service to media to production - provide instruction at Roland's state-of-the-art training facility. Rooms are painted Munsell gray and lit with ANSI 500k natural lights to create the perfect environment for printing and viewing prints. Tools and equipment include Dell and Macintosh computer workstations and Microtek desktop scanners. Roland students also have access to Olympus digital cameras, a Biomorph ergonomic desk and an assortment of Fletcher-Terry finishing equipment.
