NUR Macroprinters to highlight new products at ISA Sign Expo 2002
San Antonio, TX; March 14, 2002 - NUR Macroprinters (Nasdaq: NURM), a global
market leader in wide and superwide digital printing solutions for the
out-of-home advertising market, will be highlighting a host of recently
announced wide format printing systems and its comprehensive consumables
offerings of inks and media at the upcoming International Sign Association's
Sign Expo 2002 conference and exhibition, April 4-6, 2002, at the Orange
County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
Equipment on display in the NUR America booth #1502 will include the NUR
Fresco(tm) HiQ 3200 digital production press and the NUR Salsa Ultima(tm)
3200 photorealistic printer. The company will also feature demonstrations of
the new NUR FabriGraph(tm) DS1500 for production-oriented textile printing
applications in its first public showing in the U.S. All of these machines
are available for immediate delivery and will be running live demonstrations
of a wide variety of application samples, sizes and substrates to showcase
the breadth of NUR's capabilities and consumables offerings for out-of-home
advertising.
In addition to the new machines, NUR Macroprinters plans to provide a
preview of its newest wide format photorealistic production printer under
development.
"We are pleased to be showcasing to ISA Sign Expo 2002 attendees our new NUR
FabriGraph printers designed to handle a wide variety of textile signage
printing applications," says Rick Clarke, president of NUR America. "There
is increasing interest in the textile market because textile substrates
address growing environmental and safety concerns. Textile signage, for
banners and POP applications, is also lightweight and compact, which allows
for reduced shipping and storage costs."
"Most significantly, customers are telling us that textile printing is a
profitable new service for which they can and do charge a premium. Our new
NUR FabriGraph printers provide optimal productivity and quality levels for
those currently printing textile applications and they open up new business
opportunities to sign printers not currently equipped to produce textile
signage."
NUR's new NUR FabriGraph printers are based on NUR Macroprinters' market
leading wide-format digital printing technology that has been adapted for
digital dye sublimation printing. The NUR FabriGraph product line includes
the NUR FabriGraph DS3200 10.5 ft. (3.5m) wide machine and the NUR
FabriGraph DS1500 at 5 ft. (1.5 meters) wide. A heat press will be in the
booth adjacent to the NUR FabriGraph DS1500 printer to demonstrate how the
dye sublimation output from the machine can be easily transferred onto a
wide variety of textile substrates used for banners and related textile
signage.
The new NUR Fresco HiQ printers that the company had planned to introduce at
the cancelled SGIA show, are available in both the 1800 (6 foot or 1.8
meters wide) and 3200 (10.5 foot or 3.2 meters wide) models. The NUR Fresco
HiQ printers feature a full print head warranty and provide additional
substantial enhancements over the original NUR Fresco models in the areas of
image quality, color gamut, text sharpness, operational ease, improved
uptime and productivity. They also support double-density printing for
producing backlit signage. All NUR Fresco machines in the field can be
upgraded with the NUR Fresco HiQ enhancements.
The NUR Salsa Ultima series of affordable, photorealistic printers will also
be displayed at NUR's booth and at Wasatch Computer Technology's booth #331.
The NUR Salsa Ultima series is unparalleled in the areas of image quality,
color matching, material handling and reliability. There are four models in
the series: the NUR Salsa Ultima 1500, 2400, 3200 and 5000 -wide-format, 600
dpi, 8-color photorealistic printers that print at 5, 8, 10 and 16 feet
(1.5, 2.4, 3.2 or 5 meters) wide respectively.
