Atoglas unveils whiter, brighter weatherable polycarbonate sheet for the sign industry
ORLANDO, FL, April 4, 2002 -- Atoglas today announced availability of a whiter Tuffak® XL polycarbonate sheet at the International Sign Association Expo, held here at the Orlando Orange County Convention Center this week. The new white sheet especially suits outdoor signs since the Tuffak XL product integrates a surface layer especially formulated to resist weathering. The new color--whiter than standard white sheet now typically in use—has been made possible by advances in polycarbonate resin formulation and processing technologies.
"Our standard Tuffak XL 25700 white polycarbonate sheet is already used by the sign industry—especially for backlit sign conditions," says Tom DeMain, Marketing Manager for Atoglas. "But the new Tuffak XL 25710 sheet is a whiter, more efficient, and more effective sign sheet. Its greater diffusion properties hide light sources better, providing an even, uniform glow. In addition, it has higher light transmission, which translates into lower power requirements for the same sign brightness. So the new whiter polycarbonate sheet is more energy efficient," says DeMain.
According to DeMain, Tuffak XL white 25710 polycarbonate sheet comes in standard size sheets and on reels. For further information on Tuffak XL polycarbonate sheet, contact Tom DeMain, marketing manager, Atoglas, 2000 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, or call 800-647-5569.
