Scanvec Amiable EnRoute to Success Again

Philadelphia, PA. - April 24, 2002 - Once again, Scanvec Amiable is on the route to success with its latest release of EnRoute 3 engraving, routing and machining software. EnRoute 3 is the newest generation of Scanvec Amiable's software programs designed for speed and compatibility with today's 32-bit operating systems.

EnRoute 3 uses an entirely new toolpath creation engine for increased speed, reliability and state-of-the-art implementation of what used to be a very time consuming process. This software masterfully simplifies and streamlines the creation of 3D engraving toolpaths (V-groove cutting), and because it includes a full set of design features, use of a separate CAD program is no longer necessary.

EnRoute 3 boasts a wide variety of accommodating features that new and old users of the software will find beneficial. One very helpful operating characteristic is that it will run off the user's existing EnRoute 2.3 Hasp key. The programs do not conflict with each other and can actually be run at the same time.

Additionally, EnRoute 3 includes an automatic pyramid feature for creating beveled objects, a full array of CAD drawing and editing tools, and many production-enhancing features. The user interface of EnRoute 3 is easily customized so each user can arrange the display to suit their needs. Objects being designed can be separated into different viewable layers to fit the designers' needs, and the new 2 D and 2.5 D toolpath algorithms provide dramatically increased generation speed, accuracy and reliability.

With the new EnRoute 3 software, complicated designs and large files are no longer a problem. Designs that would have taken 20 minutes to process now take less than 20 seconds with this new program, and the results provide an increased degree of accuracy as well.

Individual Feature Enhancements
Interface - EnRoute 3 features a new design with many familiar icons to make it easy for former users of previous EnRoute programs. The repositionable and flyout toolbars provide instant access to EnRoute 3's functions.
Drawing tools - EnRoute 3 offers familiar drawing tools for easy use, but it also allows drawing or construction from freehand or Precision Input dialogs.
Design aids - Productivity is enhanced by design tools that include alignment, outline and inline, welding, multicopies and guidelines.
Vectorizing - As the industry standard, Scanvec Amiable's vectorizing tools allow 2 D scan images to be transformed into vectors for output to users' machines. The work may be seen in four different views so the accuracy of the layout design and the toolpaths can be easily checked from all angles.
Layers - EnRoute 3 provides the ability to work in layers, which allows users to separate components of complicated designs. Users can easily verify the registration of various parts of the artwork by turning on all of the layers.
Toolpath creation - EnRoute 3's innovative toolpath creation engine is unique to this software. EnRoute 3 calculates toolpaths for intricate artwork in seconds rather than minutes or hours. The time it takes to create toolpaths is not tied to the size of the artwork.
Output - Enroute 3's output system is very reliable and is designed to allow all existing EnRoute drivers to remain functional.
