Scanvec Amiable™ Launches Line Of Professional Solutions With New Versions Of Two Popular Software Products

PHILADELPHIA, PA. ­ June 1, 2002 ­ Scanvec Amiable™, Inc. is launching a line of complete professional solutions with new versions of two of its most popular software products, Scanvec Amiable Professional Sign Making Solution featuring the FlexiFAMILY™ 7 and Scanvec Amiable Professional Machining and Engraving Solution featuring the EnRoute 3™ Family. These new versions incorporate innovative, user-requested features with the programs' strong, time-proven design and production base operations. Flexi 7 is currently released in English and other languages are scheduled for release in the near future.

Notable additions to these programs include new FlexiFAMILY 7 improved screen layout, Auto Serialization and Auto Dimension features; and the new EnRoute3 Family toolpath creation engine that combines speed, reliability and accuracy. EnRoute 3 Family includes a full set of design features that eliminate the need for a separate CAD program.

Scanvec Amiable FlexiFAMILY™ 7
Scanvec Amiable FlexiFAMILY 7 is a complete software package for contour cutting, vinyl sign making and large format printing. Using customer input, Scanvec Amiable added hundreds of new administrative, design and production features, many of which are not offered by other professional graphics applications.

FlexiFAMILY 7 features an improved screen layout, Auto Serialization, Auto Dimension, path clean-up for precise drawing, tiling capabilities for easy sizing and a spooling application that allows for simultaneous sending, design and production of multiple jobs by both Mac and PC systems. Designers can create graphics within the Flexi 7 program or import files from other programs with the new extensive file format support features that mirror context menus and elements of other popular graphics design software.

Additional options include new text styles and templates; production and design capabilities for circles and rounded corner borders; and improved rotation, resizing and mirror functions. Braille, barcode, define character and job estimation functions are also included in the new package. FlexiFAMILY 7 can support two printers, multiple cutters and output devices. It utilizes updated drivers within the production portion of the software.

Current users of Scanvec Amiable CASmate Family™ and Scanvec Amiable Inspire Family™ programs may easily upgrade to Flexi 7. CASmate SCV and Inspire SCI files are easily imported into Flexi 7, and drawing border options may be disabled to emulate CASmate or Inspire working environment.

Scanvec Amiable EnRoute 3™ Family
Scanvec Amiable EnRoute 3 Family of engraving, routing and machining software is the newest generation of programs designed for speed and compatibility with today’s 32-bit operating systems. EnRoute 3™ uses an entirely new toolpath creation engine and toolpath verification simulations to conquer complicated designs and large files. Designs that previously required 20 minutes to process now take less than 20 seconds with EnRoute 3, and the results provide an increased degree of accuracy and reliability as well.

EnRoute 3 will run off the user’s existing EnRoute 2.3 Hasp key. So the old and new programs can be run simultaneously. Additional features of EnRoute 3 include a customizable user interface, productivity enhancing features, an automatic pyramid feature for creating beveled objects, and multi-layer design viewing capabilities to fit the designers' needs. EnRoute 3 also eliminates the need for a separate CAD program by containing a full array of CAD tools including drawing tools, vectorizing, point editing, alignment, weld and multi-copy tools.
