Onyx Graphics Announces Support for Epson Stylus Pro 7600 and Epson Stylus Pro 9600 Wide Format Printers
MIDVALE, Utah, Jul. 23, 2002 -- Onyx Graphics today announced it has added support for the Epson Stylus Pro 7600 and EPSON Stylus Pro 9600 wide format printers. Drivers for these printers are available for Onyx 5.6 Workflow Solutions Software products running Service Pack 1.
Features of the Onyx support for the Epson Stylus Pro 7600 and 9600 include:
- Support for all available resolutions including 2880 dpi x 1440 dpi.
- Onyx Graphics exclusive Virtual Pixel Technology that enhances output while also drastically reducing RIP time.
- Default workflow quick settings that work seamlessly with Adobe Photoshop(r) and other content-creation applications to produce photo-realistic output.
- Default ICC color profiles for screen printing at 175 lpi for proofing and simulation of screen printing. This new pattern takes full advantage of Epson's Variable Droplet Micro Piezo DX3 drop-on-demand ink jet technology.
- Popular media / resolution profiles are included, and additional profiles will be available for download from Onyx Graphics' web site: www.onyxgfx.com.
- Support for Epson's 7-color UltraChromeTM pigment-based ink sets, including all three black ink modes: Photo Black Mode, Matte Black Mode and Dual Black Mode. These Black Modes create extremely fine blends and photographic-quality transitions, and improve gray balance while eliminating color casts.
- Software-based printer controls include manual and roll paper feed, BorderFree printing, multiple cutter options, media type, paper feed compensation, print direction, cutting method, drying time and pass delay. Users can also control the platen gap, paper thickness, vacuum strength, cutter pressure and paper feed mechanism, giving the user complete control over printer features without having to manually make the changes at the printer.
- Direct support for TCP/IP, USB and Parallel Interfaces.
