New Metal Coating Process Wins R&D

Inovati (Santa Barbara, CA) has just won an R&D 100 Award from R&D Magazine for its novel Kinetic Metallization (KM) process. KM deposits metal powders into high quality coatings through high velocity impact of the solid particles through a specialized spray system. Applications include wear and corrosion resistant layers and surfacing for brazing, conductive and decorative applications. Metal which can be successfully deposited include chromium, nickel, copper, aluminum and stainless steel.
