SGIA '02 marks the first public preview in the U.S. of the NUR Tempo flatbed
inkjet press
Demonstrations in the NUR America booth #2542, will highlight the exciting combination of quality and productivity available with the new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C range and the photo realistic quality of the NUR Salsa Ultima 3200.
NUR America will also showcase NUR Media Solutions' consumables offerings for
wide-format digital printers, including new substrates and the Billboard PowerPack,
a new, integrated package of ink and substrates for billboard applications
San Antonio, TX; September 5, 2002 — NUR America, the subsidiary of NUR Macroprinters Ltd. (Nasdaq: NURM) responsible for marketing, sales, and service operations for NUR products throughout the Americas, will be highlighting new wide format printing systems and the NUR Media Solutions (NMS) consumables line at the upcoming SGIA '02 conference and exhibition, October 30 - November 2 at The America's Center in St. Louis, MO.
In booth #2542 on the show floor, NUR America will be giving preview demonstrations
of the NUR Tempo, NUR Macroprinters' new flatbed inkjet press. It will also be running live demos in the booth of the NUR Salsa Ultima 3200 photorealistic printers and the new NUR Fresco™ HiQ 8C 3200 digital production press, which NUR Macroprinters intends to begin shipping this month.
The NUR Tempo is the name chosen for the new flatbed, digital inkjet press that
NUR Macroprinters first unveiled in prototype form earlier this year at FESPA
2002. At SGIA '02, the company will be demonstrating the machine in its final
production configuration prior to beginning beta testing.
“We are excited to be giving screen printers and digital print service providers
attending SGIA '02 an opportunity to view the very newest models in the increasingly
versatile NUR Macroprinters range of digital production printers,” says Alon
Avnon, vice president of sales and business development at NUR Macroprinters
Ltd. “The NUR Fresco HiQ 8C has been well received since its introduction earlier
this year and is now ready to ship in volume worldwide. We expect screen printers
attending SGIA '02 will be particularly interested in this 8-color machine because
of its productivity and versatility.”
Avnon continues, “With the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C, users no longer have to choose
between photo realistic quality and productivity. This machine is designed to
produce both photo realistic quality display graphics and fast turnaround, digital
production jobs such as fleet graphics, banners, mesh applications, etc. for
which we believe the NUR Fresco to have always been the best in its class.”
“We're also pleased to be showing the new NUR Tempo in its production configuration
at SGIA 2002,” says Ron Michael, vice president of marketing at NUR Macroprinters
Ltd. “We've worked in close collaboration with many screen printers and digital
print service providers to ensure the NUR Tempo will truly meet their needs.
The enthusiasm of FESPA visitors who saw the prototype and the feedback we've
been receiving since then is further proof that the NUR Tempo will be the right
solution for the screen printing industry's needs and challenges.”
About the NUR Tempo flatbed digital press:
Also at SGIA '02, NUR America will be giving live demonstrations of the production
configuration of the flatbed, digital inkjet press that NUR Macroprinters first
unveiled in prototype form earlier this year. The NUR Tempo, as it is now named,
will soon begin beta testing. Commercial shipments are planned for the first
quarter of 2003.
Designed to meet the needs of wide-format screen printers, the NUR Tempo will
print on a wide variety of both rigid and flexible materials including corrugated
board, fluted polypropylene, PVC, glass, polycarbonate and standard rolled media.
The NUR Tempo is designed to eliminate the extra steps involved in lamination
and cutting/trimming processes common to other traditional methods of printing
graphics on rigid surfaces. In addition, it can be connected to stackers and
feeders as in the “stop-load-print” paradigm of conventional printing.
Key features in the new NUR Tempo will include:
UV-curable inks for the flexibility to print on almost any type of substrate
A 6 ˝ ft. x 10 ˝ ft. (3.2 x 2m) table providing the versatility to handle most
of the common applications in the OOHA market
Accommodates both rigid and roll-to-roll substrates for fast and easy changeover
between the two modes
Both 4- and 8-color printing modes delivering high speed and photo realistic
image quality with easy changeover between modes
Maximum speed of 1,300 sq. ft/hr. (120 sq. m/hr.) for high throughput production
at fastest print mode
NUR Fresco HiQ 8C to begin shipping
The new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C production presses, introduced earlier this year at
ISA 2002, combine the photo realistic quality attributes of NUR Macroprinters'
NUR Salsa Ultima™ machines delivering apparent resolutions up to 720 dpi
and the high speed and productivity of the NUR Fresco production presses with
print speeds of up to 885 square feet per hour. The NUR Fresco HiQ 8C printers
are scheduled to begin shipping worldwide later this month.
The winning combination of speed and quality in the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C series
delivers the smooth images with low granularity and excellent light to mid-tone
transitions required for photorealistic imaging at production speeds. There are
two new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C models available: the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C 3200 that prints in widths up to 10.5 feet and the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C 1800 capable of print widths
to 6 feet wide. An 8-color upgrade kit for NUR Fresco models currently in the field is also available.
NUR Media Solutions to feature two new substrates and new Billboard PowerPack
Complementing NUR Macroprinters' equipment demonstrations at SGIA '02, NUR Media Solutions will showcase in the NUR America booth the full range of NUR Media
Solutions original inks and guaranteed substrates. Two new substrates will be featured at the show: NURPAPER™ BlueBack Wet-Strength and NURSAV™ MicroPerforated
Window Film.
NMS will also introduce at the show its new Billboard PowerPack, an attractively
priced, integrated package of inks and substrates for billboard printing applications.
The Billboard PowerPack includes a new PVC substrate for the billboard market,
NURFLEXTM iSpeed Frontlit Light, and new inks that have been specially developed
to deliver an improved gamut and optimal results on the new media.
All of the machines in the NUR America booth will be running live demonstrations
of a wide variety of application samples, sizes and substrates that illustrate
the breadth of NUR's capabilities and consumables offerings.
