FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NUR Macroprinters begins commercial shipments of NUR Fresco HiQ 8C following

Lod, Israel; September 23, 2002 - NUR Macroprinters (Nasdaq: NURM), a leading supplier of wide-format and superwide digital printing systems and consumables for out-of-home advertising, today announced that following a successful beta testing period, its new NUR Fresco™ HiQ 8C series of photorealistic production printers is now available for immediate delivery to customers worldwide.

The new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C production presses underwent intensive beta testing at several NUR customers' sites. Among these were Vertical Vision International in the Netherlands, and Inkjet International in Dallas, TX, USA.

Results from Vertical Vision

The 8-color upgrade to the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 at Vertical Vision International, formerly known as the ExtraLarge Group and one of Europe's leading digital print service providers with multiple sites across Europe, was installed in May 2002 and the company began production with the machine immediately thereafter. The machine's 8-color printing modes give them the additional versatility required for many indoor advertising applications.

Based on its successful experience with the performance of the 8-color upgrade kit in the Netherlands, and after taking a fresh look at competitive offerings at FESPA 2002 earlier this year, the company purchased an additional two NUR Fresco HiQ 8C units, one for its Milan facility and a second, soon to be installed machine, for another site in Europe.

“The ability to print 8 colors gives us a fantastic color range and depth in the images we print. In total the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 8C is a professional, reliable, fast and strong production machine. It's a real work horse that delivers consistent color and print quality,” says Hans Van Dijk of Vertical Vision in the Netherlands.

“Our clients are becoming increasingly demanding and the NUR Fresco gives us an advantage over our competition. We can now compete in the photo quality arena - something we could not do before,” adds Mauro Oliva, of Vertical Vision in Italy.

Results from Inkjet International

The 8-color upgrade kit for the NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 at Inkjet International in Dallas, Texas was installed in June 2002 and the company immediately began using the 8-color capability to produce many of the same applications it previously printed in 4- colors. According to Jittu Sarna, president of Inkjet International, his customer reactions were very positive. Sarna believes that the higher quality he can now provide means higher value for his customers and forms a core part of his ongoing commitment to them.

Says Sarna, “We operated our NUR Fresco HiQ 3200 for over a year with great satisfaction. It brought a new dimension to our business with its image quality and unmatched productivity and reliability.”

Sarna continues, “We were happy, therefore, to participate in beta testing the 8-color option for NUR and since we installed it we have not looked back. The tremendous flexibility we gain from operating in both 4- or 8-color modes, and the quick and clean changeover between modes, are probably the biggest advantages and benefits of this production unit. There are no machines that can do it all, but the Fresco HiQ 8C is certainly close!”

“We have been very pleased with the results of this beta testing phase for the new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C series printers. The beta customers provided excellent feedback to us throughout the test period and we implemented their valuable suggestions immediately,” says Ron Michael, vice president of marketing at NUR Macroprinters. “We're also thrilled that the testers and the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from the market agree with us that the new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C models are now more versatile than ever.”

“We're so confident in the performance of the new NUR Fresco HiQ 8C models that we've introduced a bold new marketing initiative we're calling the Fresco Challenge. This program invites wide-format print service providers to test the quality and speed of these new production presses for themselves at any of the regional NUR demo centers. If the exceptional quality and productivity combination our new printers provide does not exceed participants' current wide-format capabilities or any other competitive product, we'll give participants a US$500 credit for NUR Media Solutions consumables and will reimburse travel and accommodation expenses*,” adds Michael.

*Subject to the terms and conditions of the "NUR Fresco Challenge" campaign.

About the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C photorealistic production printers NUR Macroprinters announced the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C printers, the newest models in the popular NUR Fresco series, at the ISA Sign Expo 2002 exhibition in Orlando, Florida in April 2002. The new models combine the photorealistic quality attributes of NUR Macroprinters' NUR Salsa™ Ultima machines - delivering apparent resolutions up to 720 dpi - and the high speed and productivity of the NUR Fresco production presses with print speeds of up to 885 square feet (82 square meters) per hour. The new models print using eight colors (C, M, Y, K and light cyan, light magenta, light yellow and light black) instead of the standard 4-color ink set. This gives them the unique ability to provide both photorealistic image quality and high levels of productivity. With a winning combination of speed and quality, the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C printers are designed to deliver smooth images with low granularity and excellent light to mid-tone transitions required for photorealistic imaging at production speeds.

There are two 8C models available: the NUR Fresco HiQ 8C 3200 with a print width up to 10.5 feet (3.2 meters) and the 1800 capable of printing to 6 feet wide (1.8 meters). Users can easily switch between eight and four-color printing depending on their job requirements. Moreover, in keeping with NUR's policy to ensure upgrade paths for its customers, all NUR Fresco 4-color units in the field can be upgraded to the 8-color level.

List prices for the machines are US$459,000 and US$329,000 respectively. The 8-color upgrade kit for NUR Fresco models currently in the field is priced at US$60,000.
