MACtac® Adds Optically Clear IP4000 to Its PermaTrans® Line of Mounting Adhesives
Stow, OH Fall 2002 Manufacturers spend a significant amount of time and money developing in-store touchscreen and lenticular displays. Now they have a product to enhance their investment PermaTrans® IP4000 from MACtac®. A mounting film that consists of a thin layer of adhesive, IP4000 eliminates light refraction and is optically clear to prevent image distortion.
The IP4000 doesn’t contain a carrier, eliminating the possibility of air pockets. This construction makes it ideal for mounting to irregular surfaces. An example of this type of surface is lenticular lens sheets, which require excellent conformation to achieve the effect of movement within an image.
According to Fran Lawrence, MACtac product manager, this addition increases the possibilities of the PermaTrans line. “Working closely with our customers, we’ve seen the need to expand our line of mounting films to include products designed specifically for lenticular and touchscreen applications,” says Lawrence.
