Roland Introduces Clear Adhesive-backed Vinyl for SOLJET

Irvine, CA. February 20, 2003 Roland DGA Corporation today further expanded its lineup of SOLJET Certified Media (SCM) with a new Clear Adhesive-backed Vinyl.

"This Clear Adhesive-back Vinyl is a great addition to the SCM line-up," said Laura Wilson, Roland Product Manager. "It offers signmakers an excellent way to produce everything from window signs to durable stickers."

Roland specially develops all SCM to yield optimal results when printing with Roland SOL INK - the unique, low-volatile solvent-based ink used by SOLJET printers and printer/cutters.

Roland designed Clear Adhesive-backed Vinyl (SCM-SPVCT) for creating decals, window signs, counter and other display and general-purpose graphics. At 3 mil, SCM-SPVCT images well in a variety of print modes and has a semi-permanent adhesive. While the vinyl is not conformable to rivets and irregular curves or indentations, it is durable without lamination. Roland does recommend lamination, however, for protecting graphics from chemical deterioration and abrasion.
