INTELICOAT TECHNOLOGIES INTRODUCES NEW MAGIC® DMPDQU HIGH-QUALITY UNIVERSAL RESIN-COATED PHOTOBASE

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass, April 3, 2003 ­ InteliCoat Technologies, a world leader in the manufacture of coated paper, film and specialty substrates for imaging and electronic technologies, today announced the availability of new Magic® DMPDQU high-quality universal resin-coated photobase paper. Available in gloss (DMPDQU-G) and lustre (DMPDQU-L) finishes, the 8-mil DMPDQU papers are designed to provide instant dry times with most high-speed wide format ink jet printers using either dye or pigmented inks.

DMPDQU’s resin-coated base combined with a state-of-the-art gloss and lustre ink jet coating yields high-quality fade-resistant photorealistic images. The instant dry time feature reduces production time by eliminating the most time-consuming part of the workflow process, enabling users to image on even the fastest new printers and laminate immediately afterwards. Ideal for most thermal and water-based piezo printing systems using dye or pigmented inks, DMPDQU offers improved printer transport, increased ink load capacity and superior pigment color gamut, as well as easier handling during printing and lamination.
