MACtac® Introduces New Vinyl Films for Solvent Inkjet Printers - Extra-wide digital imaging media allows for seamless images

Stow, Ohio ­ Spring 2003 ­ MACtac® recently expanded its IMAGin® JT5000 Series of digital imaging media to include more 2-meter wide choices, both a gloss white vinyl and a matte white vinyl. These adhesive-backed vinyl films are developed specifically for use in large format promotional and signage applications. Featuring a clear adhesive, the new JT5822R and JT5824P vinyls are both solvent inkjet printable and are available in rolls 79 inches wide by 328 feet in length.

“Adding nearly 20 inches to a web can mean significant time savings for the printer and applicator,” says Fran Lawrence, MACtac Graphic and Distributor product manager. “Any time a user can reduce or eliminate seams, the job is easier, quicker and less expensive.”

The removable JT5822R and the permanent JT5824P IMAGin vinyls feature high print quality and consistency as well as excellent acrylic adhesives. The 3.7-mil products are offered in either white gloss or white matte finishes for two-year applications or short-term promotional signage.

The IMAGin JT5000 Series offers a film for every solvent inkjet printing application including indoor signage, billboards, fleet marking and building decorations. In addition, JT5000 vinyls are very effective on both flat or heavily contoured surfaces ­ and everything in between. The series has been tested and approved by Scitex, Gretag, Mutoh, Nur and Vutek.
