Roland Reduces Colorcamm Prices - World's Most-popular Thermal Transfer Printer/Cutters Now Priced 20 Percent Less

Irvine, CA. April 11, 2003 Thanks to record sales and increased supply, Roland DGA Corporation today lowered prices on its ColorCAMM thermal transfer printer/cutters.

"Now in their fifth generation, ColorCAMM devices are still the world's most-popular printer/cutters," said Rick Scrimger, Roland Marketing Manager. "They have been a huge success ever since Roland first introduced them in 1995. The tremendous popularity of these do-it-all devices has enabled us to dramatically lower prices."

The ColorCAMM printer/cutter is a versatile design tool capable of printing photorealistic graphics up to 1200 dpi. It also contour cuts everything from traditional rectangular labels to intricate text, arcs and curves with precision and ease. Loaded with resin ribbons, the ColorCAMM produces graphics that are water, scratch and UV resistant for up to five years without lamination. Applications include POP graphics, labels and decals, vehicle graphics, and custom awards. Loaded with wax ribbons, it generates heat-transferable designs for t-shirts, bags, hats, jackets and other apparel items.

Roland offers the ColorCAMM in two models - the PC-600 and PC-12. The 6-color PC-600 is a 24-inch device designed for print-for-pay users such as signmakers, graphic designers and screenprinters. At 12 inches wide, the 9-color PC-12 enables in-house users to create short-run graphics right on their desktop. Both models include Roland ColorChoice® RIP software for printing and cutting. The RIP lets users print directly from Corel DRAW® and Adobe® Illustrator®. It includes ICC profiles for Roland media and ribbon cartridges to ensure perfect color output every time.

  • Up to 1200 dpi photo-quality, thermal-transfer printing
  • Hi-performance, hi-precision contour cutting
  • Resin ribbons include CMYK plus orange, green, red, blue, white, gold and silver spot colors
  • Wax ribbons include CMYK plus gold and silver foil
