Drytac’s New Backer Adds Rigidity & Opacity at a Lower Cost

(Richmond, VA) Drytac Corporation announces the introduction of a new, economical thermal backer designed to protect and stiffen indoor graphics.

MHL Backmount™ is a 10.0 mil (250 micron), white paper-based backer coated with a low-temp, heat-activated copolymer adhesive. For added protection, the outside surface (non-adhesive side) of Backmount is coated with a clear moisture barrier. As a backing film for short-term indoor graphics, Backmount is engineered to add rigidity and durability, yet maintains enough flexibility to allow graphics to be rolled for transport. Its translucent, true-white adhesive surface will reduce “show through,” while enhancing the look of the image.

For photo labs, reprographers, screen printers, digital service bureaus and other graphics providers, the low-priced backer provides a means of adding value to “commodity” graphics printed on thin output without the expense of heavier mounting substrates. Backmount is ideal for applications such as POP displays, aisle danglers and other short-term indoor signage.

Available in both 38” (965 mm) and 51” (1300 mm) roll widths.
