VUTEk® Exhibits Innovations in Productive and Profitable Commercial Imaging

Digital inkjet printing innovations from VUTEk® Inc., the leading supplier of superwide format digital inkjet printers, will be on exhibit at Sign UK/Digital Expo 2003 (Birmingham, UK) from May 20 -22, 2003. VUTEk printers allow commercial imaging shops to extend the scope of their work and produce more profitable applications by taking advantage of the speed, reliability and superior image quality inherent in all VUTEk digital printing systems.

VUTEk's PressVu® UV 180/600 EC is the only superwide digital inkjet printer available today that offers eight-color capability with 600 dpi resolution on rigid or flexible substrates. This eight-color printer is ideal for superior quality applications with fine text, line and photographic detail, and prints direct to a wide range of rigid or flexible substrates up to 1.8 meters wide. Using UV-curable inks, the PressVu® UV 180/600 EC allows selection from a wider range of substrates and minimizes variation in output appearance from substrate to substrate.

Featured with the PressVu® UV 180/600 EC, and exclusive in its class, the Auto Sheet Feeder 180 is engineered to feed a stack of rigid sheets through the printer to facilitate fully automated material input. It is recommended for a wide range of rigid plastics and foam-centered boards, which have been tested and approved by VUTEk®. The feeder will accept a maximum of 144 sheets up to 1.8 meters (72 inches) wide, and has a unique telescopic platform, which extends to 2.44 meters (96 inches) in length to accommodate larger board sizes.

The UltraVu® 3360 EC prints up to 3 meters (10 feet) in width, with a print resolution of 360 dpi. It converts easily and quickly from eight-color to super Fast-4(tm) mode and prints on a variety of flexible substrates including paper, vinyl, mesh, pressure sensitive and other materials. The UltraVu® 3360 EC is the ideal solution for high quality, eight-color printing of long term outdoor graphics, P-O-P advertising, posters, stage graphics, backlit displays and many other applications.

In addition to the printers, VUTEk® will be featuring samples from its new dye sublimation technology, the FabriVu(tm) 3360 EC. The FabriVu(tm) 3360 EC is a fast, reliable, three-meter, eight-color production machine that can print directly on a wide range of poplin and flag materials that are typically used for sporting events and exhibit displays. With print speeds of 65+ sq. meters (700+ sq. ft.) per hour, the FabriVu(tm) 3360 EC is an ideal replacement for dated electrostatic printing equipment.
