ISA Partnering With Orlando CVB To Drive Attendance At Sign Expo 2004
Alexandria, VA (September 9, 2003) To drive attendance at the 58th Annual International Sign Expo, April 14-17, 2004, the International Sign Association (ISA) has begun co-marketing efforts with the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
ISA and the Orlando CVB met in Orlando in July to begin developing a plan to co-promote the 2004 Expo.
“We were very pleased when ISA approached us to partner for the Expo,” said Orlando CVB Director of Citywide Sales Tammi Runzler. “We’ve seen great successes when the Orlando CVB adds its resources to the mix. ISA will be able to take advantage of our strengths, and Orlando will reap the benefits of having more attendees at the show.”
ISA and the Orlando CVB have conducted a survey of the attendees of both the 2002 and 2003 Expos to determine the factors that motivate qualified buyers to attend the shows. Both organizations will use the results to develop marketing materials to more effectively reach potential exhibitors and to increase the number of attendees.
“We’re very pleased with the level of support we’re receiving from Orlando,” said ISA President and CEO Dean Garritson. “Our members deserve the best show that we can give them, and we anticipate that by partnering with the Orlando CVB we will provide an even better Expo.”
At the most recent Expo in April 2003, ISA broke all previous show records by attracting almost 17,000 attendees. The 2002 Expo was listed as number 142 in Tradeshow Week 200, a publication that lists the top 200 trade shows annually. “By partnering with the Orlando CVB, we will be able to exceed the 2003 attendance,” said Garritson.
More than 75 percent of the show floor for the 2004 Expo has already been sold.
ISA is a 2,200-member organization composed of manufacturers, users, and suppliers of on-premise signs and sign products produced by more than 400,000 employees in all 50 states and 69 countries. ISA exists to support, promote and improve the $30 billion-a-year sign industry, which sustains the nation’s nearly $3 trillion-a-year retail industry.
