Fastest Growing Online Sign Community Exceeds 1500 Members

September 8, 2003: The Open Forums at www.SignForums.com is one of the largest online communities of sign industry professionals and is proving to be the fastest growing. Originally founded in 2000 on Belton Sign’s domain, The Open Forums began in its current format, after a few revisions, in December of 2001. Its membership has doubled in since January of 2003 and has recently exceeded 1,500 members with growth still accelerating.

Under the motto “Be excellent to each other” a large number of the members claim to be addicted to the boards. Members not only socialize with others in the profession, but also help mentor and support each other to be better business people and solve problems.

The momentum and cohesion of this international community led by Grahame Belton of Belton Signs & Design in Maldon, England and Kimon Brown of “Affordable Signs and Installations” in Las Vegas, NV has achieved group discounts with many vendors. They have even used their cumulative influence to persuade major manufacturers to recognize and correct product and service problems.

In addition to the “General Chit Chat” forum with over three thousand topics and almost twenty nine thousand posts there are forums for discussion and posts in over thirty categories. From general “Sign Topics” to the “Crazy Pic Gallery”, other categories include: “Font Identification”, “Tips and Tricks”, “Air Brushing”, “Tutorials”, “Plotter Queries”, “Portfolios” as well as many software topics: Signlab, Scanvec Amiable, Gerber, Corel, Adobe, Signgo, Signcut, and many others.
