VUTEk® Announces Gold Certification Program-- Saving you time and money in substrate selection.

VUTEk® Inc., the leading supplier of superwide format digital inkjet printers, is pleased to announce its Gold Certification Program, providing customers with a wide selection of the "Best of Breed" substrates for use on specified VUTEk® printers. VUTEk®, in a continuous effort to expand digital applications, puts substrates through exhaustive evaluation and testing to ensure compliance with its rigorous standards. Only those that pass earn VUTEk's gold seal. With VUTEk's Gold Certification program, customers can select approved substrates by application and spend more time printing and less time experimenting with materials and settings. By utilizing the best of breed materials, customers get the most profit from their VUTEk® printers.

VUTEk® selects materials from media manufacturers that produce a consistently high quality product and that demonstrate the same key values that VUTEk® offers with its printers, products and services, including consistent quality, good price/performance value, excellent warranty program, great product service and on-time delivery.

Materials that are approved and certified by VUTEk® have received an estimated 40 hours of review, including a basic print test, packaging overview, profiling, material handling and sample printing. The media manufacturer also must have a proven record for delivery, service and support that is consistent with VUTEk's own reputation and commitment to its customers.

For as long as VUTEk® has been in business, it has performed basic evaluations on third-party media for its customers. This service provided basic machine setup information and established a comprehensive list of materials to support a wide range of applications. Now, with the development of a whole new generation of printers, VUTEk® is evaluating even more new materials and our Gold Certified Partners simplify the customer's selections of best of breed media for the most reliable quality and professional output.

Gold Certification is not necessarily offered to a media manufacturer's full range of products and is not provided on an exclusive basis - in some instances, competitive products from different manufacturers may receive the Gold Certification.

Once a media manufacturer attains Gold Certification on a particular product or products, they must maintain the same performance level and high standards of support services set by VUTEk®. VUTEk® monitors and reviews "Gold Certified" media performance through customer satisfaction surveys and various other methods.

VUTEk® works with global manufacturers to optimize their print surfaces to VUTEk® printers, enabling them to develop new, high quality products faster. This reduced time-to-market will allow the overall expansion of digital applications for VUTEk® customers worldwide.
