Scitex Vision TURBOjet - Breaking the paradigms of digital printing productivity
Netanya, Israel, October 2003 Scitex Vision announces the launch of its latest wide-format press at the SGIA show in Atlanta, USA. (October 15-18, 2003). The Scitex Vision TURBOjet complements the existing range of presses and has been specifically developed for this demanding printing industry, meeting the exact requirements of superb image quality, wide color gamut, high print speed and low printing costs that this sector requests.
The Scitex Vision TURBOjet ability to produce up to 400 m²/ hr (4,304 sq ft/ hr) makes it the fastest wide format digital system on the market, providing high image quality, with text point sizes as small as 8 point reproducing with outstanding clarity and legibility. This ability makes it perfect for display quality applications, indoor and outdoor signage, bus shelters and billboards, as well as window and exhibition graphics. The Scitex Vision TURBOjet is printing from roll to sheet (up to 1.63x3.66 m/ 64 x 144 in) with a resolution of up to 448dpi.
“The Scitex Vision TURBOjet is the only real answer to the demanding wide-format printing market. The system revolutionizes the digital world by addressing the high-speed and low-cost needs of the industry without compromising image and text quality,” said Jean-Marc Blum, Scitex Vision Corporate V.P. of Marketing.
The Scitex Vision TURBOjet’s ability to print on an extensive range of substrates from paper, vinyl, banner, canvas, Tyvek™ and polystyrene to fabric, ensures maximum flexibility, while its ability to print on uncoated and cheaper media allows even more cost reductions and better ability to compete with traditional print technologies.
The Scitex Vision TURBOjet comes in two system versions the “Classic” version based on a six array of colors CMYKCM, for unbeatable cost-effectiveness, and the Scitex Vision TURBOjet “Supreme” system version, supporting six-color CMYK LC LM for ultimate quality. Both versions have dedicated TJ100 ink series from Scitex Vision VisionInk.
The software is user-friendly requiring minimal training before operators can queue jobs, change orders, tile RIPped files, cut and paste two or more files, add pictures to one layout, and perform other routine functions. In addition, the advanced Onyx® PosterShop® RIP ensures that printers have the best tools at their disposal to produce superior printed results.
