Chicago, IL, Nov. 4, 2003 ­ Océ, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announces the availability of two versions of polypropylene banner material, an economical, tear-resistant substrate that is widely used in creating limited-life retail point-of-purchase signage. The Océ Polypropylene Banner material is designed for use in aqueous dye-based inkjet printers. The Océ Universal Polypropylene Banner material can be used in aqueous dye- or pigment-based inkjet printers.

Highly Tear Resistant Banner Material for the Retail Signage Market
The Océ Polypropylene Banner material (IBPOLY7) is an opaque white material with a receptive inkjet coating compatible with aqueous dye inks. Designed for limited-life indoor applications, Océ Polypropylene Banner material features an 8-mil thickness and high tear resistance. This material is ideally suited to the retail point-of-purchase signage market where displays are frequently changed. It can also be used for limited-life indoor posters and trade show exhibits.

Universal Poly Banner Material for Dye- or Pigment-Based Inkjet Printers
The Océ Universal Polypropylene Banner (UBPOLY7) uses the same base substrate as IBPOLY7, but includes a inkjet receptive coating that is compatible with printers using either aqueous dye or aqueous pigmented inks. It is also an 8-mil material with exceptional light blocking opacity and high tear resistance. Designed for limited-life indoor displays, it can be used to produce indoor posters, presentation and exhibit displays and point-of-purchase signage.
