Roland Enters Grand Format Market
Orlando, FL. -- Roland DGA Corporation today entered the grand format printing market with its widest and fastest inkjet ever. The 104-inch SOLJET SJ 1000EX prints graphics with Roland quality up to 484 sqft per hour.
The SJ-1000EX uses a heavy-duty media handling system with idler bars to maintain proper tension and precise media tracking. It is ideal for lengthy, unattended printing. The media handling system supports rolls weighing up to 220lbs and offers front access for convenient loading and unloading.
Loaded with Eco-SOL INK, the SJ-1000EX prints with brilliant color without any need for special ventilation or environmental equipment. The mild solvent ink works in conjunction with an integrated media heating system to bond aggressively with both coated and uncoated materials. It is safe to use and virtually odor free.
The SJ-1000EX runs dual ink sets of CCMMYK to achieve rich, vibrant colors even at high print speeds. The ink comes in 440ml, no-mess cartridges.

All four inkjets use Eco-SOL INK with an integrated heating system to print durable outdoor graphics on both coated and uncoated materials. They are ideal for the production of signs, banners, POP displays and vehicle wraps.
The SC-540EX can also automatically contour cut printed graphics without reloading or repositioning and can function as a stand-alone vinyl cutter. For laminating graphics, simply remove prints, laminate and reload them for precision cutting. The Quadralign(tm) four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion.
