VUTEk® Sets A New Price/Performance Standard For UV Flatbed Inkjet Printers The new PressVu® UV 200/600: Unmatched Quality and Productivity

VUTEk® Inc., recognized as the world's leading supplier of superwide format digital inkjet printers, has introduced the all-new PressVu® UV 200/600 digital inkjet printer. The PressVu® UV 200/600 is designed specifically for screen printers, photo labs and commercial imaging shops looking to achieve high-end image quality and greater productivity at an affordable cost. It is expected that this addition to VUTEk's line-up of award-winning PressVu® UV digital inkjet flatbed printers will make the advantages of UV-curing technology immediately available to thousands of print-for-pay providers.

The PressVu® UV 200/600 digital inkjet printer is loaded with features that its owners would expect to find on more expensive models - like stunning four- and six-color, 600 dpi capabilities that deliver photographic color reproduction and crisp text reproduction. Virtually limitless versatility and industrial-strength construction features allow operators to print on a variety of sheet-fed or roll-to-roll materials around the clock. Because it is like having two-printers-in-one, owners should be able to expand their customer service capabilities and satisfy a wider variety of long-term outdoor and indoor application needs.

The PressVu® UV 200/600 printer uses durable UV-curing inks that can be applied directly on both flexible and rigid substrates, so the time and expense of finishing steps such as mounting and lamination are eliminated. The switch between roll-to-roll and rigid materials has also been streamlined to be quick and easy. Set-up can be completed by a single person, so operators will spend much more time producing profitable output.

Available in four- and six-color models, the PressVu® UV 200/600 can print up to 80 inches (2 meters) wide at 350 square feet per hour (33 square meters per hour). It prints on rigid materials up to 1.75 inches (4.45 centimeters) thick. The PressVu® UV 200/600 comes standard with a set of rigid extension tables and easily accommodates the addition of others for handling of longer board sizes.

Beta testing for the PressVu® UV 200/600 is underway, and will be available for shipping mid year 2004.
