International Sign Expo 2004 Is A Record-breaker
Alexandria, VA -- The International Sign Association (ISA) announced today that its International Sign Expo 2004, held April 14-17 in Orlando, Fla., set records in attendance, booth sales, and seminar attendance. A total of 17,012 sign professionals attended the Expo, a 28 percent increase over attendance the last time the Expo was held in Orlando in 2002. The previous record-holder was the 2003 Expo, when 16,903 people attended the show while it was held in Las Vegas.
Brian McNamara, vice president of ISA expositions, attributes the increase in attendance to an improving economy, more educational opportunities, and access to more exhibitors than ever before. “With over 500 companies showing the latest in sign products, services, and technology all in one place, people in the sign business knew that Expo 2004 was the place to be,” he said.
ISA experienced a 24 percent increase in the number of exhibition booth sales at the Expo this year over Expo 2002. A total of 537 exhibitors bought 1,491 booths on the tradeshow floor. For the 2002 Expo, ISA sold 1,304 booths; in 2003, it sold 1,344 booths. As of today, the association has already sold 1,120 booths for its 2005 Expo in Las Vegas.
The number of attendees at ISA’s 36 educational seminars at the expo also topped last year’s number. This year, 2,250 people bought seats for the association’s seminars, compared to 1,330 in 2003.
