PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 6, 2004

Océ North America to Become U.S. Sales and Service Channel for Gandi Innovations, Starting with the JETi 3300 Grand Format Printer

Minneapolis, MN Océ (Nasdaq: OCENY) announced today an agreement with Gandi Innovations of San Antonio, TX to provide exclusive sales and service support in the U.S. for Gandi Innovations beginning with the JETi 3300 grand format solvent inkjet printer. The JETi 3300 is on display in Océ booth #1439 at the Specialty Graphics and Imaging Association / Digital Printing International (SGIA/DPI) conference in Minneapolis, October 6-9, 2004.

The JETi 3300 printer is a 10.5 foot wide, solvent-based inkjet printer that delivers production print speeds of up to 655 square feet per hour in four-color, 300 dpi mode. A six-color, 600 dpi apparent mode is available with print speeds of up to 485 square feet per hour. The JETi 3300 can print to a variety of substrates including reinforced vinyl, pressure-sensitive vinyl, canvas, fabrics, mesh and paper. The solvent-based inks offer ultraviolet (UV) durability of up to three years unlaminated depending on the environment in which the print is used.

"The JETi 3300 complements our existing product line by adding a grand format size printer for producing oversized outdoor-durable graphics," said Joyce Virnich, vice president of marketing for the Wide Format Printing Systems division of Océ North America, Inc. "This enables us to offer the broadest product portfolio in the industry, from low- to high-end including solvent, UV-curable and photo laser technologies, across roll-based, flatbed and hybrid platforms."

Océ has been selling the JETi 3300 in the United Kingdom and France for the past year. This agreement enables Océ to offer the JETi 3300 to its customers in the U.S.

"Our company is proud of the progress we've made with the JETi 3300 since we started designing it two years ago, "said Hary Gandy, managing director of Gandi Innovations. "Now that the product is at a point where it's ready to take off, we're pleased to be working with Océ North America to make it more widely available in the U.S. market. Océ's extensive infrastructure of sales, service and support will help us take the JETi product line to the next level and enable our future growth."

Océ North America will begin taking orders for the Gandi Innovations JETi 3300 printer at the SGIA show held in Minneapolis from October 6-9, 2004. Complete systems will be available for order including the printer, inks, Onyx PosterShop® or Onyx ProductionHouseTM workflow software, service and support agreements, delivery and installation, customer training and financing packages all from Océ North America.
