PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ISA Has Good “brand Recognition” Outside Of The United States

Alexandria, VA The efforts of the International Sign Association (ISA) to reach out to members of the sign industry overseas are paying off as the association is increasing its name recognition in Europe.

Recently, ISA Vice Chairman Ebbie Phillips and Larry Catton, vice chairman of ISA’s Technical Committee traveled to Paris to represent the association at the Visual Communication Europe 2004 tradeshow, one of the largest sign industry tradeshows in Europe. Phillips, Catton, and ISA consultant E.G. “John” Johnson took the opportunity to spread the word about ISA and recruit new members.

“I was very pleased with the positive response we received,” Johnson said. “It is gratifying to note that ISA has good brand recognition in Europe. We received a great deal of interest from European sign companies about joining the association. The sign industry outside of the United States knows who we are.”

ISA has embarked on several international programs over the last several years to bolster its name and image throughout the global sign industry. These programs include study missions to several European countries, ISA’s International Exchange Program, and the annual Global Sign Forum, which is held each year at the association’s International Sign Expo. ISA has also been involved with the European Federation of Illuminated Signs (EVL) for more than 15 years, and current EVL President Nicholas Pearce is a member of ISA’s Board of Directors and chairs ISA’s International Committee.

ISA is a 2,200 member organization composed of manufacturers, users, and suppliers of on-premise signs and sign products produced by more than 400,000 employees in all 50 states and 69 foreign countries. ISA exists to support, promote, and improve the $30 billion-a-year sign industry, which sustains the nation’s nearly $3 trillion-a-year retail industry.
