CAD/CAM Solutions
Roland ASD is a worldwide leader in 3D input and output devices for CAD/CAM applications. 3D laser scanners, powerful reverse modeling software and Subtractive Rapid Prototyping milling devices let engineers scan, design and prototype parts right on their desktop.
Roland 3D laser scanners provide a complete reverse modeling solution with superior scan quality and ease of use. The Roland LPX-1200 and LPX-250 are ideal for a wide range of CAD applications. Examples include scanning mobile phones to facilitate the design of blister packaging and scanning hand-sculpted aliens for feature animation.
By starting with a solid object and rapidly subtracting material away, SRP technology enables industrial and mechanical designers to produce prototypes with superior form, fit and function. Roland MDX Series milling devices use SRP technology to mill prototypes of everything from toothbrushes to cell phone casings to action figures.
