Roland Bundles Cadlink Engravelab™ Software With High-speed Engravers

LAKE FOREST, CA Roland Advanced Solutions Division (ASD) today announced that it has teamed up with CADLink Technology Corporation to include EngraveLab Expert with Braille software free of charge with its EGX PRO Series of high-speed engravers. This software bundle is available for a limited time.

Developed for professional engravers, EngraveLab Expert is a comprehensive design and production software package for engraving trophies, awards and signs. It comes with 65 import filters, 1100 fonts with WYSIWIG text composition, a 5000-piece clipart library, and a variety of automatic fill routines. It also includes a Braille tool that allows users to convert text into Grade 2 Braille with a single mouse click.

The Roland EGX PRO Series possesses the industry’s most advanced high-speed engraving technologies. The EGX-400 and EGX-600 both use Feed Forward Processing (FFP) and digital AC Servo (DAC) brushless motors for maximum precision, speed, reliability and energy efficiency. They have a maximum engraving speed of 100 mm/second and a maximum spindle speed of 30,000 RPM.

This technology lets EGX PRO engravers perform the work of two and sometimes three standard engravers. They can engrave a wide variety of materials, including wood, urethane foam, plastic, acrylic, and light metals such as brass and aluminum. Maximum work area for the EGX-600 is 24” x 16” and 16” x 12” for the EGX-400. Both have a Z axis height of 1.57”. Applications include nametags, awards and trophies, luggage tags, medallions, 3D lettering, ADA signage, control panels and serial number plates.
