MAGIC® GFPHOTO MEDIA BY INTELICOAT TECHNOLOGIES HELPS MIMAKI WIN TWO TOP HONORS IN THE 2005 DIMA DIGITAL PRINTER SHOOT-OUT

SOUTH HADLEY, MA -­ InteliCoat Technologies, a world leader in the manufacture of coated paper, film and specialty substrates for imaging and electronic technologies, is pleased to announce that its Magic® GFPHOTO photo paper for solvent ink jet printers played a critical role in Mimaki’s recent 2005 DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out awards announced at the PMA 2005 Convention and Trade Show in Orlando, FL. Mimaki’s JV3-160 SP printer received top honors in the “Ink: Solvent, 20 Inches or Larger” category and the Mimaki JV3-75SPII printer won the award for “Ink Jet: 18 to 35 Inches Wide,” both with images printed on Magic® GFPHOTO glossy photorealistic media. A panel of experts voted on the entries based on the overall quality of the digital print and the accuracy of color as compared to a “target” print.

Magic GFPHOTO is a solvent ink jet compatible, 6-mil, glossy photorealistic paper ideal for high-resolution glossy posters and displays. The paper’s specialty coating offers a high degree of whiteness and color gamut with an extremely smooth surface for high photographic resolution.
