PPMA announces free “hands-on-line” technical help
“Ask PPMA” is available at no charge to practitioners of the finishing arts.
Chicago - The Post Print Manufacturers Association (PPMA) has announced the “Ask PPMA Forum” program, a new “hands-on-line” technical resource for the graphics finishing business. Available at no charge, the web-based service allows finishing room personnel to direct specific queries to the PPMA Technical Committee. The inquiring party will receive an objective, non-commercial reply via e-mail within 48 hours. According to executive director Al Boese, the Ask PPMA program is prepared to deal with a wide-range of finishing-related topics, including finishing equipment, materials and compatibility issues, application challenges, durability and trouble-shooting tips for specific problems.
“Because we are a trade association with no bias regarding particular brands, people in the finishing business can get “real life” answers without someone trying to sell them something,” said Boese. “By the same token, we have access to some of the best technical knowledge around.
The Ask PPMA service is available at the PPMA website: www.printfinish.org/ask.phtml
