Daktronics, Inc. releases of its 2005-2006 product catalog highlighting new technology

Brookings, S.D. -Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq - DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture, sales and service of electronic message displays, large-screen video displays and scoreboards for 36 years, announces the release of its 2005-2006 product catalog, Total Display Solutions: Programmable Display Systems Catalog. Designed for resellers, endusers and Daktronics employees, the 49-page publication describes each product’s features, including model numbers and model specifications, for easy reference. Color installation photographs provide visual information about the variety of applications and the worldwide locations of Daktronics products.

The various new products featured in the catalog are evidence of Daktronics commitment to research and development. In response to specific market needs, Daktronics engineers developed solutions in both the electronic message center and digit display product lines. One such product is the 36”, 48”, 60” and 72” high character Galaxy® display for interstate advertisers to reach a long-distance audience. Another new Galaxy® display designed for medium-speed traffic applications, a full-color 46 mm electronic message center, offers larger characters with full-color images. Finally, the innovative 3300 Series Galaxy® display combines two different matrices, one monochromatic and the other full color, in one cabinet. This combination allows operators the capability to program the full-color side with an image or logo and to program the monochrome side with the corresponding text and price information.

For petroleum retailers’ needs, engineers have also extended Daktronics DataMasterTM digit display line. The new PricePlusTM display combines both digits and text in one cabinet. Operators can key in the product with its corresponding price from a hand-held keypad resembling that of a cell phone. Another digit display product is the stackable or modular display that can be arranged horizontally, vertically or spread out on a canopy, as needed.
