XMO STRATA: NOW THEY'RE TRAINING THE TRAINERS!
Sign installation specialist Xmo Strata, which uses its strong commitment to health and safety training as a central plank in its
business plan, is sending senior staff on a special course to allow them to train Incident and Injury Free working.
Managing Director, Steve Martin, and senior managers Russell Brown and Kate Spencer-May will attend the three day course, which is run by the BP Bovis Alliance.
Almost all Xmo Strata's installation engineers have completed the course, but the company says some new entrants still have to do so;
also, since recruitment is continuous, there will always be a small percentage of engineers that have not yet done the course.
"The idea of training the trainers is to give us the flexibility we need to ensure that as many employees as possible have done the course. Having senior managers at the training emphasises strongly that they aren't just paying lip service," said Managing Director Steve Martin.
The Incident and Injury Free course is designed by the BP Bovis Alliance to stress its own commitment to injury free working, but the course goes well beyond safety at work, and addresses the issue as an attitude of mind.
