PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 3, 2005

SGIA '05 Presents Color Management in Spanish

Fairfax, Virginia — In any language, improving color management means improving print quality, productivity and efficiency. That's why on Friday, September 30, at SGIA '05 (New Orleans, September 28October 1), SGIA will present two free color management sessions, in Spanish only, led by Darrian Young (Color Concepts).

Young is the founder of Color & Image Consulting, which provides consulting and training services for the optimization, standardization, and implementation of color-managed workflows, as well as automated image enhancement. He is active in the integration of digital photography with prepress and the printing industry, and is a member of the European Color Initiative

Both sessions suit screen printing and digital imaging. "Essentials of Color Management" (10:00 am10:50 am) describes the basics, and "Color Management: How it Really Works" (2:00 pm3:20 pm) focuses on implementing the best color management practices in your shop.

Experience proves it: Shops with excellent color management processes have fewer mistakes (and re-do's), higher profits, less waste, happier customers and more repeat business. Join SGIA and Darrian Young for these two free SGIA '05 sessions and learn how to build or improve your color management process. Sessions in Spanish only, without English translation. All other SGIA '05 programming is presented in English only.

"Essentials of Color Management" (September 30, 10:00 am10:50 am)
An introduction to what color management is all about — what you absolutely must know. Appropriate for screen printing and digital imaging.

"Color Management: How it Really Works" (September 30, 2:00 pm3:20 pm)
Make color management work on your production line. This session will teach you how to implement excellent color management in your facility. Appropriate for screen printing and digital imaging.

SGIA — Supporting the Leaders of the Digital & Screen Printing Community
"Specialty imaging" comprises digital imaging, screen printing and the many other imaging technologies SGIA members use, including those they'll tap in the future. These are the imaging processes and technologies employed to create new products and to enhance existing products including point-of-purchase displays, signs, advertisements, garments, containers, and vehicles. To make the most of your specialty imaging business, take full advantage of the information on SGIA.org, and experience the specialty graphic imaging industry first-hand at SGIA'05 (September 28October 1, New Orleans, Louisiana). SGIA press releases and artwork are available at SGIA.org.
