American Sign Museum Appoints ISA President & CEO Lori Anderson To Its Board
The International Sign Association (ISA) announces the appointment of its President and CEO, Lori Anderson, to join the American Sign Museum Board of Directors.
"Given ISA’s significant support of the Museum and its important role as the sign industry’s association, we are honored that Lori Anderson has accepted our invitation to serve on the Board,” said American Sign Museum Founder and President Tod Swormstedt.
The purpose of the Museum is to inform and educate the general public, as well as business and special interest groups, about the history of the sign industry and its significant contribution to commerce and the American landscape.
“ISA grew up and evolved in parallel with the post-war, modern sign industry,” continued Swormstedt. “The history of the sign industry cannot be told without emphasizing ISA's role.”
As a director, Anderson will help to define the scope of the Museum and contribute to and help define the Museum's long-term strategic plan.
“The American Sign Museum plays an important role in the sign industry, as it represents an historical perspective on signage,” Anderson said. “I’m glad to be a part of it, and I look forward to working with the board.”
The American Sign Museum is organized for the purpose of preserving, archiving and displaying a historical collection of signs in their many types and forms. It also documents and surveys the products and equipment utilized in the design and manufacture of signs, and offers biographical information of the people who made and comprise the industry.
ISA is a 1,900 member organization composed of manufacturers, users, and suppliers of on-premise signs and sign products produced by more than 400,000 employees in all 50 states and 69 foreign countries. ISA exists to support, promote, and improve the $30 billion-a-year sign industry, which sustains the nation’s nearly $3 trillion-a-year retail industry.
