WSSC and ISA Celebrate Another Successful Regional Trade Show...Western Sign Show Sees Increase in Exhibit Space, Strong Attendance
Alexandria, VA - The International Sign Association (ISA) today called its recent Western Sign Show a ‘resounding success.’ Held last week in San Diego, Calif., the event drew nearly 2,000 attendees and 105 exhibits from 85 companies for a four day convention and two day trade show.
This year’s event, a joint effort of ISA and the Western States Sign Council, saw an 11-percent increase in exhibitor space from the previous show in the Western Region, held in January 2004. Educational opportunities were popular as well, with 165 attendees participating in seminars on topics ranging from legislative and regulatory activities impacting sign companies to new technologies and improved products to enhanced productivity and product quality.
“Overall, this is an example of ISA’s regional partnering contributing to a major success,” said ISA President and CEO Lori Anderson. “The success of this event once again proves that the Western States Sign Council has really got what it takes to produce a competitive regional trade show.”
“Feedback from exhibitors and attendees was universally positive, underscoring the demand for the type of interactive information sharing and regionally-specific coverage the Western Sign Show provides,” said Anderson.
ISA is a 1,900 member organization composed of manufacturers, users, and suppliers of on-premise signs and sign products produced by more than 400,000 employees in all 50 states and 69 foreign countries. ISA exists to support, promote, and improve the $30 billion-a-year sign industry, which sustains the nation’s nearly $3 trillion-a-year retail industry.
