ONYX Graphics Adds Support for HP® Designjet® 9000s Series Printer
SALT LAKE CITY, UT - ONYX Graphics today announced it has added
support for the HP Designjet 9000s Series printer. The driver is available
for all ONYX version 6.5 workflow solution software products including ONYX
ProductionHouseTM and ONYX PosterShop®.
In alliance with HP, ONYX has optimized the HP Designjet 9000s driver and
profiles to operate the printer at its top performance capabilities. ONYX
software solutions include key features such as PANTONE® Spot Color
Matching, Contour Cutting Workflow and Job Nesting, which enhance the
performance capabilities of the HP Designjet 9000s printer.
The HP Designjet 9000s Series printer is a 64-inch inkjet that creates
long-lasting outdoor signage. According to HP, this printer will boost
production and profitability, increase print volume, improve services and
reduce ink and media costs. The ONYX driver includes support for the
following HP Designjet 9000s features:
Settings: Users can select the default calibration tables for color control
with intuitive correction tools or add and calibrate their own printing
materials to deliver precise color.
Save Media: In the RIP-Queue¹s job log, users can view ink channel usage
and estimated costs prior to printing.
Quality Mode: Users can easily modify jobs and view the final layout
on-screen before printing.
The ONYX driver includes color profiles for all HP media for the HP
Designjet 9000s in addition to profiles from third-party media providers
such as Avery®, Kapco® and Océ®. ONYX continues to work closely with HP and
other media providers to produce a wide range of media profiles.
The HP Designjet 9000s Series printer driver is included in new ONYX
PosterShop and ONYX ProductionHouse software packages purchased after March
1, 2006. Registered users with licenses obtained prior to March 1 can
purchase the driver for ONYX 6.5 versions of ONYX ProductionHouse, ONYX
PosterShop and ONYX RIPCenter software.
