SGIA Revamps Surveys & Statistics Web Page
Web site offers wealth of market data and trend analyses
Fairfax, Virginia — Stay ahead of your competition with the compelling forecasts and analytical data available on SGIA’s revamped Surveys & Statistics page on the newly redesigned SGIA.org.
SGIA’s Surveys & Statistics is your market research guide for the specialty graphics industry that also lets you see how your company rates in your market. For example, you can find the latest financial figures for the digital, screen and inkjet markets at our Industry at a Glance section.
The site’s inaugural survey, the Business Growth Plans Survey, gauges the projected growth of printing businesses for 2006 and beyond. It also evaluates what equipment is being purchased. Survey results for participants are expected to be released on May 22.
Up next is the industry benchmarking Operating Ratio Study, a survey that is open to any business until June 16. This bi-annual study conducts a complete checkup on the financial health of individual participants as well as the entire market.
“Statistics aren’t just numbers, they are indicators of business opportunities and barriers, and that information is highly valuable,” said Alaina Harris, SGIA Business Information Associate. “I get calls all the time from members looking for stats to use in their business plans, in their decisions to enter new markets and to determine fair wages for their employees,” she said.
In addition to up-to-the-minute statistical information, the new site will feature a bi-monthly column by Harris on the pressing issues for the screen and garment industries. Guest columnists are expected to contribute articles on the forefront of the specialty graphics industry as well.
Know how your market is performing and where your business stands. Visit the Surveys & Statistics Web page often.
