SGIA’s Workshop Takes Garment Printing to New Heights
Course will offer ways for imagers to ramp up their productivity and skills
Fairfax, Virginia — Attendees for SGIA’s upcoming workshop, “Advanced Garment Printing: A Roadmap to Success” (Calgary, Alberta, October 2728, 2006), will get more than just inside advice on advanced garment printing techniques.
They’ll learn how to set up a business plan that increases their apparel operation’s productivity while finding ways to reduce downtime and boost the bottom line.
“Garment decorators will leave this workshop with a renewed confidence in the fundamentals and keen insight on how to improve and enhance their operation,” said Instructor Charlie Taublieb, Academy of Screen Printing Technology member and Owner of Taublieb Consulting (Greenwood Village, Colorado).
Taublieb, an expert on garment and special effects printing, says his course picks up where other basic and intermediate garment printing workshops end.
“We’ll review proven procedures for advanced garment printing, such as pre-press shortcuts, four-color process separation techniques and stencil exposure calculations,” he said. “These techniques take product quality from good to superior.”
The two-day workshop will meet at Wheat Buckley and His Talking Horse Screenworks Inc. (Calgary, Alberta), one of Canada’s top suppliers for screen printed apparel.
Previous workshop attendees said they gained better techniques for high-end work. “The highlight of [of the previous garment workshop] was having the class in a high-end production facility,” said attendee Rick Dowdy with Wolf Creek Promotions (Superior, Colorado).
With only 25 seats, this workshop is expected to sell out far ahead of the event date. Visit SGIA.org for more information and to register.
