Shell Gives Garment Decorators Color Control Tips at SGIA ’06

SGIA’s Shell shows how to set up effective color management plans

Fairfax, Virginia — Garment printers: Forget about the trial-and-error method for successful four-color process printing. Instead, get real color-management solutions at SGIA ’06 (Las Vegas, September 2629).

The Expo’s educational session — “T-shirts, Color Management and You” (Wednesday, September 27 9:30 am to 10:20 am) — is tailored to garment decorators who regularly use the four-color process on garments such as T-shirts.

Color management helps improve production efficiency as it assists garment decorators in consistently achieving award-winning print quality. “This is an unexplored area for garment printers,” said instructor Johnny Shell, SGIA’s Vice President for Technical Services. “If you’re a garment decorator doing four-color process, you cannot afford to miss this,” he said.

Shell will teach what a color management system is and how it can improve apparel businesses. He’ll empower garment decorators by helping them decide how they’ll establish a simple, but effective, color management plan back at their operations.

“You’ll leave knowing exactly how color management can help you control four-color process printing challenges,” Shell said, adding he will pass out samples to illustrate all of the session’s concepts.
