SGIA Celebrates 2006 Membership Milestones
More than 400 members receive the Continuous Membership Award
Fairfax, Virginia — This year, SGIA will present 404 SGIA members with Continuous Membership Awards, which recognize any company that has been a member for any consecutive five-year interval — from five to 55 years and counting.
Taking the top honor in continuous membership this year is specialty printing company Farias Process S A (Mexico City, Mexico), which achieved its 45th year as a continuous SGIA member, making it one of the older SGIA members. Last year, two companies surpassed 55 years with SGIA.
“We have had a lot to celebrate this year,” said Sondra Fry Benoudiz, SGIA’s Vice President of Membership and Marketing. “2006 also has been a record-breaking year for new memberships, shattering previous records in SGIA’s 58-year history.”
This year’s members are from 34 countries, including the United States. Among those honored are 204 printers, 160 suppliers, 25 in-plant printers and 15 educators.
For companies celebrating an anniversary:
- 12 companies marked their 40th anniversary as SGIA members.
- 14 companies were recognized for their 35-year memberships.
- 21 companies passed the 30-year mark as SGIA members.
- 28 companies reached their 25-year anniversary.
- 33 companies were honored with special awards for their 20 years of SGIA membership.
- 57 companies received the Spectrum Award for joining SGIA 15 years ago.
- 116 companies received Continuity Awards for their 10 years of membership.
- 122 companies received Omni Awards for maintaining five years of membership.
The complete list of SGIA members receiving Continuous Membership Awards will be published in an upcoming edition of the SGIA News.
