Two New Interactive CDs from Bayer Films Americas Include Products and Applications and Films Selection Guide.
Berlin, CT - Bayer Films Americas, a Division of Sheffield Plastics Inc., has released two new interactive CDs featuring their extensive offering of Makrofol® polycarbonate and Bayfol® polycarbonate blend film products. Makrofol and Bayfol provide outstanding stability and durability with lot-to-lot consistency for a wide variety of applications—and are manufactured to the strictest quality standards in ISO-9001: 2000 certified facilities.
The Products and Applications CD is an interactive teaching on the Makrofol and Bayfol product lines and features a wide variety of applications in which they are used. The disc is narrated by Bayer Films Americas Product Manager, Paul Hassett, and is organized into three easy-to-follow parts—product overview, a discussion of nomenclature and application examples. Learners will understand the hierarchy of thermoplastic resins and the physical characteristics that separate Bayer polycarbonate films from other materials such as acrylic. It covers their extraordinary features—including graphic arts quality and printability, light diffusion capabilities, heat, flame, chemical and UV resistance, antistatic capabilities, weatherability, strength and dimensional stability. The CD also includes many helpful charts and high-quality microscopic and polarized light images and a handy Film Conversion Guide with conversion tolerances.
The Films Selection Guide CD makes product selection easy. Users are guided in their selection of the right Makrofol® or Bayfol® polycarbonate or polycarbonate blend for their specific application needs. The CD includes a helpful Fabrication Guide and a multitude of product information including, product identification, resin grade, surface textures, color availability, film thickness, physical, optical, mechanical, thermal and flammability properties, test methods and typical applications for which they are used.
Both CDs are comprehensive and incredibly easy to use. Users are prompted to go at their own pace and can pause and play the disc as many times as they choose or can skip between sections.
