Unica digital is proud to add the Eizo CE240 and CE210 to the ColorManaged.com website. The CE’s fill out a great group of products for several different price points while maintaining a very high level of quality.

The Creator Edition (CE) monitors are an affordable color critical monitor. Since color values are hardware calibrated, they offer a significant advantage over monitors that provide only software calibration. With the ColorEdge CE monitors, you get accurate, consistent color reproduction that matches the colors captured by your digital camera, or that you see on your prints. The ColorEdge CE monitors your assurance of color profiling with professional-level precision.

Some of the most notable specifications for the CE series are a wide 16:10 aspect ratio, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 10bit look-up table, and finally a native resolution of 1920x1200 for the 24” and 1680x1050 on the 21” model.

Something to note about Eizo CE monitors is that there are two kinds of monitor calibration ­ software and hardware. With software calibration, colors are adjusted by manipulating the graphics board’s color output, which results in fewer displayable colors. With hardware calibration, colors are adjusted by within the monitor itself, so there is no loss of displayable tonalities. ColorEdge CE and the bundled ColorNavigator CE software offer hardware calibration for accurate and consistent color.
