Military WrapsTM teams with MACtac® on New Breakout Camouflage
Defense Industrial Park, Lumberton, N.C. — Military WrapsTM, Inc., the camouflage innovator of groundbreaking next-generation concealment, has selected MACtac®, Inc. to help deliver this new technology.
Military WrapsTM, Inc., developer of patent-pending camouflage technologies, and MACtac®, Inc., a leading manufacturer of pressure-sensitive adhesive (self-adhesive) products with facilities in 14 countries, will team to bring to the U.S. military an important breakthrough in the field of military camouflage, concealment and detection.
The Military WrapsTM camouflage technologies — known as Photo-Stealth™ and Photo-Real™ — combine photographic digital detailing and a vinyl-adhesive process, matching terrain so vividly that vehicles, weapons, and equipment can seem to disappear into the surrounding battlefield environment — far outstripping the painted-on concealment currently used by the U.S. military. (For examples, see attached photographs.)
“MACtac will deliver all of the vinyl requirements for our clients,” said Trevor J. Kräcker, president of Military Wraps™, Inc., “and we chose MACtac because of the company’s custom capabilities, technical support, quality assurance, supply-chain efficiency, and outstanding record of delivery.”
Kräcker also noted that MACtac’s corporate parent, the Bemis Company, Inc., (NYSE: BMS) tied for first place on the 2007 Forbes.com survey of Top Ten Most Trustworthy U.S. Companies. “It is crucial to have partners that can deliver because of the importance of our products in protecting our servicemen and women,” Kräcker said, “and we know we have that in MACtac.”
Military WrapsTM, Inc. will demonstrate results of their product development efforts at U.S. Special Operations trade shows at or near Fort Bragg, N.C. — on Nov. 6 and 7 at SOFEX ’07; and Nov. 12 through 14 at the 2007 SpecOps East Warfighter Symposium and Expo.
The Photo-Stealth™ and Photo-Real™ technologies, proprietary photographic digital site-specific camouflage, can be applied by a vinyl-adhesive process, to all categories of military vehicles: Land, Sea and Air, both manned and unmanned. Photo-Stealth™ and Photo-Real™ technologies can also be applied to weapons, equipment, engineered structures and buildings.
Bemis Company, Inc., a 150-year-old firm based in Neenah, Wisc., operates 12 companies in 58 locations worldwide with a workforce of more than 17,500. Bemis, the largest flexible packaging company in the Americas, reported combined 2006 Net Sales of more than $3.5 billion.
