SGIA's Online Storefront Helps Drive e-Commerce - Users report new sales, customer traffic from latest member benefit
Fairfax, Virginia -- SGIA's Online Storefront program is showing substantial results for specialty imaging companies that have the interactive storefront on their Web sites. http://www.sgia.org/marketing_and_sales/storefront/index.cfm
"The program makes designing artwork a smooth process," said Michael Renshaw, storefront user and Owner of Artwear Screen Printing Co. (Wilmington, North Carolina). "Customers just go on the site and design the product themselves, which saves us tons of time," Renshaw said, noting customers can create designs for the screen printing company's koozies, T-shirts, coffee mugs and mouse pads.
So far, 70 specialty imaging businesses have signed up to incorporate the SGIA Online Storefront on their Web sites. "We do a fair amount of custom printing work and this program has proven to be good," said Rishi Narayan, a Co-owner of Underground Printing (Ann Arbor, Michigan).
With more consumers going online to do their shopping, Narayan said "it's silly not to use [the Storefront program]," adding the SGIA Online Storefront is "definitely the easiest to use of the online design studios out there."
Terri Hauge, Owner of Logo Print (Portland, Oregon), jumped at the chance to set up the specialized Storefront on her Web site to increase online traffic. "It's been going really well," said Hauge, who receives all of her orders for imaged promotional products through the system.
In addition to providing customers with customizable online ordering options, storefront users said they also were turned onto the vast amount of resources within the SGIA Information Network. "[The Storefront] is what directed me to SGIA, and it worked great because I found the Association and discovered what a wealth of information SGIA offers," Renshaw said.
